Match Your Skills to Careers

Below is the Skills Profiler, a tool which can help you match your existing skills to new occupations in the world of work. The Skills Profiler helps you decide what careers you might want to explore based on your past education, training and work experience.

Here's how it works: The Skills Profiler includes 35 personal and technical skills that help define what it takes to work in a wide range of jobs. Please review each carefully and decide which skills apply to you.

As you answer the questions: Try NOT to focus on whether you have enough education or training to do the work, or how much money you would make in that occupation. Just think about whether you possess that specific skill and, and if so, how proficient are you? After you select each Skill the tool will ask you to rate your level of proficiency from "Low" to "High". Just click the appropriate button to complete your entry.

This is not a test: There are no right or wrong answers! Please take your time answering the questions. You are assessing your skills to identify and explore occupations you might like and find rewarding!

Please Note: You don't have to rate all of the skills below (most people won't). Just select those skills you feel you possess and indicate your level of proficiency: Low, Average, or High. You can change your answers at any time to revise your skills profile.
