In many cases, a High School Diploma or GED is the main education qualification you need to enter the Transit workforce. Hiring decisions may also depend on your career/work readiness skills. After you are hired, additional training needed to advance in your career is typically obtained "on the job".
In some cases additional academic education may be needed to qualify for a new position. For this, you will need to apply for admission to a local training center or college offering the appropriate Education Program/Course and make plans to cover the costs for tuition, fees, books, housing and transportation. Financial aid, employer support or loans may be available based on your situation.
